This week’s activities and learning opportunities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage will include the following;

ACTIVITIES

To promote independence and free choice – routines (snack time / toileting, self selection units), favourite toys including ‘builders’ site’ and space lego and favourite activities including papier mache, free painting, playdough and junk modelling (following requests, interests & parents information), complete ‘me’ books

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Physical

Show emerging autonomy in self care, communicate their needs for food & drink & when uncomfortable

Personal Social & Emotional

Begin to develop self confidence & belief in themselves

Seek to do things for themselves knowing adult is near to help if needed

Learn social skills & enjoy being with & talking to adults & children

Take initiatives & manage developmentally appropriate tasks

Increased independence in selecting & carrying out activities
