This week’s activities and learning opportunities based on the Early Years Foundation stage will include the following:

ACTIVITIES

Indoors - bonfire collage picture, 3D ‘fireworks’ and ‘sparklers’, tracing firework pictures

Outdoors - splatter painting, large junk model rocket

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Creative

Begin to combine movement, materials, media or marks

Begin to be interested in and describe textures

Explore colour and begin to differentiate between colours

Differentiate mark and movements on paper

Create 3D structures

Explore what happens when they mix colours

Understand that different media can be combined to create different effects

Experiment to create different textures

Create constructions, collages, paintings and drawings

Work creatively on a large or small scale

Build up vocabulary that reflects the breadth of their experiences

Create sounds by banging, shaking, tapping or blowing

Show an interest in the way musical instruments sound

Explore the different sounds of instruments and learn how sounds can be changed
