This week’s activities and learning opportunities based on the Early Years Foundation stage will include the following:

ACTIVITIES

Indoors - paper chain ‘friends’, beaded friendship bracelets, collage hearts, floor puzzles, caring heart (and word storm, being friend, caring for others), emotion puppets (songs and discussion – mini circle times)

Outdoors – rocker, ‘whirly rocket’, slide, trampoline

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Personal, Social and Emotional

Learn social skills and enjoy being with and talking to adults and other children

Form friendships with other children

Value and contribute to own well being and self control (sharing, waiting, taking turns)

Begin to accept the needs of others, with support

Show care and concern for others

Begin to have their own friends

Physical

Manage body to create intended movements

Demonstrate control to hold a shape or fixed position

Mount steps using alternate feet

Show respect for other children’s personal space when playing among them

Show increasing control in holding mark making tools

Engage in activities requiring hand eye coordination

Use one handed tools and equipment
