Dear Parents
Nativity Plays
Monday 12th December (please drop your child off at the normal start time of 08.50, then return at 09.30 for the performance)
Tuesday 13th December (please drop your child off at the normal start time of 09.00, then return for the performance at 09.40)
Rehearsals are now under way for the Nativity Play and roles have been cast! Your child will be a ………………………………………………... We now need your help with costumes – these can be quite simple, such as dressing gowns and tea towels for shepherds, white petticoats and wings for angels (or, if you can’t resist, one of the outfits that are in the supermarkets at the moment). If you have any problems in sorting out an outfit please let one of the staff know as soon as possible and we will do our very best to help out – we do have a few spare outfits (we already have outfits for Mary, Joseph and the kings, and a few shepherds). Also, please let us know if you are able to offer more than one outfit, or, say, have spare wings for an angel. Please bring in outfits, labelled with your child’s name, as soon as possible and by Friday 9th December at the very latest. I know that this is quite short notice, but hope that you will understand that we have been keen to make sure that every child is happy with the role they are playing.
If your child does not usually attend on either a Monday or Tuesday morning, we invite you and your child to join us on either of these sessions, as we don’t want anyone to miss out. Please just indicate which session you will be joining us on the attached slip.
In accordance with fire safety restrictions the number of adults watching has to be limited due to the size of the room. Initially, we will therefore have to limit places to one adult per child. Please could you complete and return the slip below as soon as possible to let us know if you will be attending and also whether you require an extra place if available. Once all the slips have been returned, we will review the numbers attending, and let you know the availability of spare spaces – we will try our very best to let as many of you as possible have a second place.
On the day, you are invited to stay on after the play, for coffee and mince pies, and also to help your child with making Christmas crafts.
Best Wishes
Mrs Helen Kenyon
